Julia Gooch
Head of Criminal Department
Julia Gooch is a Legal Executive and specialises in criminal defence work. She has been with the firm for thirteen years and prior to that worked for solicitors’ firms in St. Neots and Cambridge; giving her over twenty years experience.
Julia is an accredited Police Station representative. This means that she is authorised to attend at Police Stations anywhere in East Anglia to advise and assist individuals arrested for offences or those who have been asked to attend at Police Stations voluntarily for an interview.
In addition, Julia is involved in the preparation of cases in the Magistrate’s Court and the Crown Court throughout East Anglia. Julia has been involved in a variety of cases from minor road traffic offences through to rapes and murders.
Julia works closely with the Principal, Michael Whatley, heading up the criminal department assisted by Tish Whatley, the personal assistant to the criminal department.
In her spare time, Julia has been attending at the West Suffolk College for a bricklaying course. Having successfully passed her City & Guilds qualification, she is now working towards an NVQ2 / Independent Construction Award. In addition, she enjoys keeping fit, sewing and cooking. |
